Hendrik Stork joined Across Health in December 2017. He grew up in the western part of Germany near Cologne. He moved to Bonn to study biology. After finishing his bachelor´s degree in Bonn he moved to Freiburg to continue with his master thesis (M.Sc. Applied Sciences). For his master thesis, he developed and established OptoBase.org – an online platform on molecular optogenetic tools. The platform was initiated to overcome technical limitations of scientific databases, to save significant time during literature research, to support cross-activities between different research areas and connect scientist (-groups) all over the world, while being easy update & maintainable. 

In addition, Hendrik has always tried to extend his entrepreneur skills, experience & knowledge in practical applications. To do so, he worked for the High-Tech Gründerfonds Management GmbH – an investment company - as a student employee. Hendrik also engaged in the world of life science startups and was responsible for areas like IP analysis, market analysis, supporting due diligence processes, technology analysis, defining value propositions and strategy development, organization of expert tables, etc. He was also part of two start-ups: Bionicure (veterinary vaccine & Hydrogel technology start-up) and Biocopy (antigen screening and vaccine development). His tasks included: patent analysis, market research, FDA & EMA approval strategy, business development.
For about two years he was a member and chairman of TriRhena Consulting, a student consulting company with 50 members, where he focused o strategy development, sales, customer & project acquisition and partner management. 

To improve his knowledge of the pharma industry, he also worked as a recruiter for PP Pharma Planing.
In the last few months of his time in Freiburg Hendrik worked as a consultant and was part of the risk management at Südfactoring- a 100% subsidiary of the bank of Baden-Württemberg. There he focused on implementing a new business software solution.
In his spare time, he likes sports such as fitness, skiing, surfing or playing basketball.
